Reel Repair by Alan Tani

Please can someone tell me the position of the first metal washer of the drag system of the Shimano Stradic 5000fi I forgot its position. Tks.

Just did 2 Stradic 8000 Reels....

First in is a ;
Carbontex washer (one with larger center hole)
   then metal,
Carbontex Washer (smaller hole)
   "Eared" Metal,
Washer, (small hole),

    then top metal.....

One washer has a much larger center hole,  That goes in first, to bottom of Spool...

Thanks mate, but the 5000 series is different the top washer is not flat .

Thanks for your interest. The problem is that the top washer has a sort of spigot. My concern is the position of this spigot if its facing upwards or downwards.
