Title: Penn 250

I have a Penn 250 with he one screw take-down on side plate.the screw is loosened, but unable to remove plate. Sprayed wd40 on it, still unable to take off. Alan, can you help me.

Did you twist the plate about a quater of a turn?

Pull out the pin and wrap a piece of string around it to keep it from engaging.  Then put some torque on it counter-clockwise.  It should turn about a 1/4 inch.  Good luck.  Dominick

soak it in something, wd-40, anything, overnight and come back to it tomorrow.  you don't want to break anything.  there are no replacement parts for this reel......   :-\
