Title: Japanese Industrial Screwdriver or JIS screws
Post by: paul19057 on November 27, 2011, 03:18:48 PM
Hi everyone,
I am wondering if the screws in the reels are this type, Japanese Industrial Screwdriver or JIS screws.
I was googling yesterday and came up with these screws that are used in cameras, and copiers etc.
Just a thought
Paul

Wow, I did a google of JIS screws and it's very interesting.  I'm using all penn reels so it doesn't affect me for reels, but maybe that explains why there's some screws on the tankless water heaters  ( which are basically all built in Asia) I work on at work don't like coming out with a phillips  :o
