Title: Penn 114 6/0 question
Post by: Sweathappens on March 18, 2020, 03:58:13 PM
What are the parts needed to convert an older Penn 114 6/0 from right handed to left handed. I've seen many conflicting solutions and haven't seen anything on this site. Penn doesn't  make this left handed model anymore and there aren't any on eBay.

Thanks!

If they are like some of the other penns: star (reverse thread), sleeve (reverse thread), main gear , pinion gear and if you want the lever and handle in the correct location you would also want a plate for the left side.

Most of the left hand parts are obsolete. Good luck searching for used parts.       Rudy

Yep.  I think I bought the last kit from Mystic.  Dominick

Might be easier to find a reel that is already a lefty...

Thanks, kinda what I thought. I finally found one the other day and bought it. Looking for one more. Anybody having one for sale or trade would be nice.
