Just curious about which is the smallest Penn model with outer access drags ?
Ted
4/0? That's the smallest one I've seen.
I might be wrong, but think that it was the red 4/0. I don't recall seeing any black 4/0s with external drag access.

Coming from you it has to be a trick question, but I'll fall for it🙂.
I'm going to say the 113h.
Now let's see the unusual reel you have😄.

Didn't some of the Long Beaches have outer access drags?
I would have say the Sailfisher!
Nope, nope and nope......keep guessing
..,.and yes Mo, early 66,67,68 had outer access drags, but still not the smallest Penn with that feature
I can visualize a few members thumbing thru Mike's history book looking for the answer. It may or may not be in there. I haven't looked
Ted's got some 1928 prototype that no one knows for sure even exists sitting on his dining room table :)

I didn't check Mike's book...but I had a hunch the 2/0 Senator might be my boy...sure enough! 8)

I think it might be the new Fathom 30sd now.
Greg
I don't know for sure, but it looks like all the Fathom SDs have the removable side plate? That would make the 12 the smallest.

Here is my smalleat Penn reel with outer drag access...
