Title: stuck click button, screw and click pawl
Post by: Christopher M Songer on May 23, 2020, 03:25:11 PM
The screw is locked up tight in the button. I can't get them apart to replace the pawl. Any tricks you know of before I cut the screw off and replace all 3 pieces. Just might be the way to go but looking for other idea to seperate the screw from the button. Thanks!

The pawl looks beat! What make/model is the reel? The side plate looks like it could be non-metal? If it is, heat is out. A good hard hammer smack, too... Maybe some kinda thread buster solution and then freezing?...

acetone/transmission oil 50/50 for a day or two. Then freeze/defrost a couple of times. Then try again :-\

Yes Chris is right, after defrosting, also try placing a soldering iron on the bolt, heat it that way should not damage anything, good luck cheers Don.
