Title: Purple octipus jig slams the door
Post by: gstours on June 20, 2020, 03:30:03 PM
As a crazy year for almost everything I got an invite to go halibut fishing with a friend.   We tried a few spots jigging and drifting in the boat.
After anchoring in 130 feet of water we used bait and sat in the chairs and waited,  butt hec no?
I thought of Daves octipus jig and got it on the light 2-5 oz rated jig rod figgering i might be able to work 12 oz back in the current.
After about a half hour a tug was on the line,  Quite fun actually to think thats what the fish was waiting for all the time. ???
Here,s a clip for your weekend viewing pleasure. ;)
