Title: Anyone else experience this?
Post by: basenjib123 on November 02, 2020, 01:58:53 AM
So my brother and I have the exact same rod and reel (even has the same line on them) yet if I pick up his outfit or visa versa we can tell right away we got the wrong one ...

You both have the "Force." lol
In all seriousness, it maybe like if someone has identical twins.  They can tell them apart and to them the twins don't even look that much alike.
Stay fishy,

Dom is right, but this has been a hot topic elsewhere.  And (others can chime in here) the truth is that while top notch factory components like rods and reels are good, there will most likely be some variation in them just due to manufacturing (again, I'm not bagging here).  When you are slamming out hundreds (thousands) of "factory" rods, it has to be pretty much impossible that they are all perfectly the same  - whether it is the blank itself or the wrap job.  They may all be pretty good - but being identical may be a different story. - john
