Post by: moondog371 on March 15, 2021, 11:18:51 PM
hello ,i recently got a older 700s.the threads on the drive shaft that hold the handle on are striped .looking around and doing some shopping around ,that part juts isnt around anymore. shimano stopped making that part . from what i can see ,they are juts not around. its such a nice reel it would be a shame that it cant be used because the threads that hold the handle on are striped . the part number is bnt 1747 drive shaft ....if anyone has one or know where to find one it would be very much appreciated ....thanks !

Can you rethread the shaft and get an appropriate sized SS nut?  Maybe go from metric to sae for a smaller jump in size?
cheers
Steve

i checked and i don't have one labeled and in the rack, but i do have some loose drive shafts.  if you can take a photo and also get some calipers and give me the exact overall length. i can double check.
