I saw these on Ebay, just wondering if anyone has used any? Anyone ever torn one down? They look promising and a wee bit cheaper than the Toriums I'm considering. When you buy 6+ reels at a time, cost is always a consideration.

Walmart has Torium 16, 20 and 30's on clearance and they will ship tp the store closest to your house for free. I know the Toriums have the aluminum frame vs. the composite for the Seagate. I am sure that there are other differences. Here is a link for the 20.http://www.walmart.com/ip/TORIUM-SALTWATER-CASTING-REEL/7386375
That's pretty good prices there. Nice reel.
I never think to check Walmart.com, but thats a decent price!
found the schematic. the design is exactly the same as the saltist. it probably has greased carbon fiber drag washers.

Ive got a seagate 30 that I'll be torture testing labor day weekend. I'll be sure to give a review on how it performed. My initial thoughts on the reel are that its a graphite framed saltist. It does have daiwa's greased carbon tournament drag washers in it and a centrifugal brake. I would imagine that if fished within its designed range (~15ish lbs of drag) it will be just fine. It has a small single aluminum cross pin, I'm assuming for frame support. Depending on how it performs, I may add 2 more bracing pins and hex cut the main gear.
