A Cardinal 52 or 152 hardly ever makes it to a junk pile. They are way too sought after. ;)
Although, 12212 is the brass gear. If so,

Part #12175 (https://www.ereplacementparts.com/line-pick-ejtc52-p-1485662.html) They're a really tough find. If you have the original and a friend with a 3D printer you may be able to have one made.
