Title: New Stradic 2500FJ came with adhesive strips?
Post by: bobt on January 12, 2012, 07:29:36 PM
I just received my Shimano Stradic 2500FJ I had ordered and I am very happy with it, but have a question.

In the box was a clear plastic strip (1 1/2" x 3") with 5 peel off strips (5/16" x 1") that I assume are some type adhesive strip.
Anyone have any idea what they are for?  I don't recall seeing anything like them before.

Something to help hold line on spool is the only thing I can guess at.

can't think of anything else that it could be for.  it would not fit anywhere else on the reel.

It goes on the reel seat so it doesn't scratch up the reel seat.

Most likely to record line size on the reel.
Place under foot or inside Spool....
