Title: Shimano Anti-Reverse Lubrication
Post by: tarpon one on June 28, 2021, 08:27:40 PM
I'm working on cleaning and lubricating my Shimano spinning reels. On all of the instant anti-reverse bearings is printed "No Grease". Should I lubricate these bearings with oil ie. Corrosion X or Shimano oil? I'm concerned they will cease functioning if I oil them.
Thanks

I just use a  drop or two of corrosion X after I clean it. Works great as stated do not apply grease or a large amount of lube.

Cheers:

what he said
for Strictly! F/W, I like clean & dry
if you might encounter ANY salt (even brackish, tidal section of river, etc.)
use the CorrosionX in smallest amounts
more so as anti-corrosion metal treatment, rather than lubricant
