Title: Unusual coloration.
Post by: gstours on August 03, 2021, 04:25:52 PM
Recently a nice smaller halibut was brought aboard my boat 🚣‍♀️ and it was noticeably different in skin coloration at the tail part.    This is a first time to see this,   And thought it might have some interest here?

That's what it means to not know up from down.  Just a poor mixed up butt.   :D  Dominick

Cool looking ! I have seen some different colours like that on different species of flat fish over the years I was sampling groundifsh. Some reversed colours some mixed like that halibut Not common but not supper rare. I think the weirdest one is when you get a gold coloured sablefish. Nice pic Gary.

Cheers:

Todd
