Title: Stop corrosion
Post by: DON3099 on August 20, 2021, 03:10:21 PM
To eliminate corrosion on my reels, I coat the inside the rotor and housing (not the gears 0r under gears) with a light coat Corrosion Block. I do the same to the outside and wipe that down. I had one Penn reel go into saltwater, got it out and flushed it with fresh water. Got it home and tore it apart saltwater was beaded up, gave it a good cleaning, and repeated the process. Reel is good as new!
Guess you could use CorrosionX spray.

Yup. I use both. I'm finding much less use for the spray, as it seem's to be kinda wasteful and messy. Suppose I could spray some into a needle oiler and use it that-a-ways.
