I would like to ship some frozen fish from the SF Bay Area to Seattle. I have a styrofoam container and freezer packs. What if any carriers can y'all suggest ? Prob only sending a couple of pounds if that matters...

UPS or FedEx Standard Overnight or Priority Overnight if you can afford it. Seal the styro box with tape. The styro cooler will need to be put in a plastic bag and sealed to control condensation and drip. Then the bagged styro box will need to go into a cardboard box. The courier will be pissed and may kick it out of the system if the outside of the cardbaord box is damp.
Check the box on the shipping form that says NO DRY ICE. Do not write"frozen fish" or anything on the outside of the box. That will just confuse things.
For to avoid inproper loading/stowage in aircraft, would affix two Package Orientation and one This Side UP label.
Than its nearly IATA/ICAO conform marked/labled. If you would do it for 100pct, affix Perishable labels.

The purpose built shippers really are the way to go. Polar Tech makes a wide variety of sizes that are affordable. And you will want gel packs as well (they also sell those). We use them at work all the time for shipping lab samples and yeast starters. - john
