Title: Electric reel star drag
Post by: chriswagner001@gmail.com on October 05, 2021, 02:09:15 PM
Hi,
I have an electric reel with a star drag that has a brass insert that threads on a stainless shaft. The threads have stripped. I have found out the threads are a 0.75mm. Any thoughts on how to repair? The star drag is not available. Thanks for any input

It is my buddies banax 1500 he bought online a few years ago. The star slides up and down with out resistance. He tried to use it for a dredge reel and overtightened the star.

Hi Chris, is the thread stipped in the star or on the drive shaft, if it is the star surely banax can supply another star, it says a lot for there back up, cheers Don.
