Title: Anyone have a link to a BV2 service tutorial
Post by: thunnus69 on January 03, 2022, 03:15:23 PM
Got another one of my valiants back  from accurate.  I can't say enough about their customer service, and service shop.  I'd like to start servicing these myself to save time and money. If anyone has or knows of a BV2 tutorial I would be so grateful if you could direct me to it.

accurates are very simple to go through.  i had been reluctant to do a tutorial on these because of all the problems they have.  still, these reels are basically straight in, straight out.  if you're careful, you should be fine.

Thanks Alan.  I appreciate your feedback.
Interestingly enough, every time I send one of my accurates out for service I usually get replacement parts installed.  This is true for new reels I've had serviced under their 2 year free service plan as well as older Valiants.  One of my  BV2 1000s recently came back with "upgraded gears", not sure what that meant.  I always rinse my reels down after each use and my rods go in the shower with me.
Take Care,
Joe
