Title: Penn Captiva 6000 CLL-Handle swings to hit bail/rotor while winding occasionally
Post by: Fishgolfman on January 09, 2022, 02:15:06 AM
Another new old find! Dont know much about reel history but seems to work fine, Main drag and bait rear drag work! The handle pivot has a lot of movement and can swing when reeling fast and hit the bail/rotor. Is this a fault of the design or is the handle not right? Is that a handle that fits that doesn not have a pivot? More like the old ss reels. I will post pictures when I can

They made both screw in handles and the ones that pass through the main gear.

Which one do you have?

Solved. I had the handle that screwed thru. The bearing cap screw was loose!! This allowed lots of play during winding
