Title: Penn Torque 25N SD bearing question

Just wondering about the bearing underneath the pinion gear of this reel.

Part 55B 1214665 055 525 Mag2 bearing.

If I am going to replace it, should it be sheilded or open?
Will this bearing effect freespool?

I like to pack shielded pinion bearings with grease. The pinion bearing does not affect free spool.
