Anyone seen this on eBay, or better yet try some. Was looking for c-Tex sheets and there's a bunch of it
+ Washers for sale. Wonder what it is and is it quality stuff?
How about a link so we know what you found !!!
The only Carbontex material that I have found to be good is the real stuff from Dawn.
The eBay stuff that Sal liked has a fiberglass core that just rips apart.
If you live on the correct side of the equator at the best lat/longs ;) , I believe these are Dawn's sheets sold locally:

If not they are still the real deal.
Postage might be cheaper, depending where you are.
cheers
Steve

In this listing we offer 1 piece of 1.5mm (0.060in) thick*, both sides rough carbon fiber sheet in 100x100mm (3.93x3.93in) size. The sheet is dedicated to self-cutting of fishing reel drag washers. Recommended cutting method is CNC mill or Dremel tool because the sheet is made from 100% carbon fiber, thus too strong for scissors or punch. Consider buying our ready to use washers if you don't have proper equipment to cut.
Available thickness range is: 0.6mm (0.0236in), 0.85mm (0.0335in), 1.1mm (0.0433in), 1.5mm (0.060in). In case standard surface roughness gives too much of a "quick drag", you can smooth it out using low grit sandpaper. The lower the grit the more breaking smoothness you get. We recommend to use drag washers w/ suitable drag grease.
Our CARBONTEX equivalent sheets as well as CNC cut ready-to-use drag washers are thoroughly tested and work very well. We've sold hundreds of these. Please check out our eBay feedback. Visit us at https://www.facebook.com/compositestechnologies for latest product offers, news and individual order options.
Please be aware that delivery of the package sent outside of the European Union (EU) typically takes around 2 weeks. This seem to be driven by customs clearance and is especially true for Great Britain after separation from EU.
* Thickness can vary +/-0.2mm for 1.5mm nominal sheet
AND these ship From WARSAW Poland not that there is anything wrong with that .

haha so true.
I have two sheets from Dawn from smoothdrag because I needed to cut some special size washers and try to save but naa, I tried to cut one and made a mess, then foundout that "Special" size was already cut on Smoothdrag inventory but under another reel so, I ended up ordering the drags from her, that was 3 years ago, I still have the carbontex sheets almost untouched. :-[
::) One hammer blow = one washer
No one needed to major in arts and crafts to make drag washers , just saying . :d
I make them all the time. You don't cut them you punch them using a bench press. I punch my own Delrin washers too. This set punches the inner and outer holes at the same time. I even bought a
Metric set to cover all of the sizes.
I do buy all my sets from Smooth Drag but when you have an oddball reel like the new Pro Gear i just punch them out.

yep, when I though about using a punch to cut the washers I needed but I found out a good quality punch set can be sold from $150 - 400 dlls or more so, I better got the ones I needed from smoothdrag, in my case I just needed to adjust the diameter of the ID hole a bit, I read about guys using copper pipes of different sizes to cut their own carbon washers them adjust the size with a file if needed.
since Im not making a living outta reel repair or rod building, I found out cutting your own drag washers if not worth in my case, that said, I will buy two punches for the size of a 113h and 500 jigmaster reels, then make several sets outta my carbontex sheets and have them ready for next replacements, those are the reels most of the local charters use anyway.

I still have a bunch of the single hole punches. I started out that way.
