Title: shimano tyros 30

hi allan
just bought this reel  for trolling used about 5 times now
and finding it a bit tight in retriving since i bought it
i manily used a penn senator 113 or114 and found u  very helpful with your diagrams
cant see a  reel repair diagram for this reel trynos 30
can u help

tightness is this common with new reel from the start

no.  the handle should crank as freely when in gear as when in out.  if you note a big difference, it is almost always the right main side plate bearing.  by turning the preset knob to far forward and then cranking the reel, it is possible to put so much pressure on the right main side plate bearing that you can crush it without ever taking it out on the water.
