Title: Fukaba Olympic 3/0
Post by: Willy B on February 28, 2012, 02:06:42 AM
Hi Alan:

Your pictorials are the bomb!!!  I have rebuilt Daiwa 9/0's using the pictorials - better than the manufacturer's brochures.

Anyway - I have an Olympic Fukaba 3/0 electric reel that has to be at least 20 years old.  It appears to be in OK shape but I tried (after all these years) to run it and nothing happened.

The fuse was not shorted, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

Is this Dinosaur with sentimental value repairable?

I cannot start it until I get back from Hawaii (end of March).

Jim?

If you can wait, let me know and I'll PM you my address.

I assume that the reel is powered by 12 V.  Is this correct?  Please send all other required electrical harnesses to power the reel.

Bryan

Ok, NP - End of March is fine - yes it is 12V and the power line is still connected to the unit.

I'll send as soon as I get your address.

Thanks.
