Title: Stripey Marlin
Post by: Tassie Fisher on February 28, 2012, 05:08:55 AM
This is just a taste of what you can catch at Eaglehawk Neck, Tasmania, Australia.

My brother in law and a few of his mates were out hunting southern bluefin tuna and albacore when this lump of a fish took a fancy to one of their lures. It put up a massive fight, at one point taking at least 600m of line in a run..... I had also opened my big mouth, 4 days prior, and told him he didn't have a chance in hell of ever getting one, as there hasn't been one hooked here for about 4 years

Great fish mate - well done to your bro-in-law.
Thanks for sharing the pic, it's a cracker.
Should be titled 'Happiness is...'  ;)
Cheers, Justin
PS Nice boat too - NZ made.  ;D

Man that's nice.  Nice boat, nice reels (look like Penn Internationals), and nice fish.  They are all smiling from ear to ear and I would be too.....
