I saw these ads for the Penn Super Mariner and the 114H reels in SWS magazines from the early 1960's. Not the clearest photos but I thought some members might enjoy them.

Lol, the guy with the massive Sea Bass has a very limber rod and no surprise it took him 4 hours to land the fish

I thought the picture was hilarious! That rod is like a wet noodle. Could it be fiberglass? I've never seen anything like that.
