A member inquired if I had seen any ads for Everol reels in the old fishing mags I look at for entertainment! I just happened to be looking at this issue of SWS the other day. Not an ad per se, but a cover and an article about giant tuna fishing on PEI.

He he - I've got one of those 12/0 Everol reels. Lovely, sturdy piece of kit. Not as refined as today's two-speed jobbies but more than capable. I also have a couple of the old instruction manuals that went with them. I must look back and see if I have that issue of SWS.
I don't remember seeing many adverts for Everol though, and I have lots of fishing magazines!
