Title: Any idea what this reel is or made by?
Post by: Crab Pot on August 03, 2023, 11:19:25 PM
Looks like an ole school mooching reel to me but I don't know...

Any ideas on make, model, and value?

Thanks,

Steve

looks like old centerpin, rather than moocher
a few shots from different angles might help...
PLUS, readable close-up of what's stamped in the metal

It's a Pflueger Pakron, I'd say model 3180?

Rather common salmon trolling reel in Alaska and the Northwest until the 60s or so.

They were used a lot around the Great Lakes for salmon and trout, too.
