updated the list!!!!
TAG! I'm it ;D A spot opened and I will be joining you. Tackle packed and I'm at 14 pounds including reels. Bill
Have a great trip Bill and the rest of you fellas!
And so it begins!!!
One more!
Still hung over this morning.
Heard from Bill tonight; and communications/internet is understandably a little tenuous out there. But he was able to email me some photos and give a report. Apparantly the first morning on the water the conditions started out a little "robust" (again, I am becoming concerned about going on any trips Bill is booked on!) but they settled down by late morning. Yellowtail were tough, but one of the boats was nailing Halibut and White Seabass. Here are a couple of great talents scoping out the conditions!

I have been assured that the food is next level incredible, but I do know that there may be top quality tequila involved as well. :d Wishing the Team tight lines for tomorrow, and if I get another update I will post it! - john
Tonight's report from the Cedros Gang!!! Firstly, if you're going on a fishing adventure, it is VERY important to have a local Liquor Store/Tackle shop close at hand!

How do you know it's legit? Store security!

Connection was tough tonight, but I gather the gang was doing quite a bit of trolling. Here you have The Boss and Tom in "trolling jail"

But hey! Trolling Macs is effective! Meat on the deck!!!

And it looks like Bill got into one of those "larger models" that Cedros is known for! THIS is why the annual Cedros trips are so popular!

Looks like the weather is good down there, and these folks still have another 2 full days of fishing left; here's hoping they max out their aircraft allowance of 50# of filets per person on the flight home! I'll keep posting as I hear from them! - john
Some nice fish there, thanks for posting, cheers Don.
Quick update fishing is great. Most YT are caught trolling Rapala XRaps 30' model. On the island they can be bought for $38 American. Throw $40 on the counter and donate the change. The Tackle shop is owned by Lalo who owns most of the panga fleet. Tightlines everyone. Bill
Lalo is the man. Fished w/him
last year.
I thought Javier owned the tackle store and many of the pangas. Lalo is his dad.

I never caught a Hamachi, do they pull as hard as a tuna? Dominick
They pull very hard for their size!

Yellowtail will punish you.
Pound for pound they may be the strongest fish I've ever caught...and lost. ;)
Just my 2 pennies, YT will stop you in your tracks, like hitting a brick wall, then keep digging for the bottom. Once you turn their heads they come up to the boat fairly easily. When they see the boat they will start digging again. YFT (schooling size) will hit you and immediately start pulling drag on the initial run. Once boat side begin to circle and the fight is over. Never caught a cow size tuna so YMMV. Bill
Thread Hijack ;D Dominick - you have THE TANK. And have never bagged a yellowtail on it?!? It is the original "Yellowtail Special"....
It seems like, all my trips to los cabos are at the wrong time of the year. i am stopping taking the Tank down there unless i check in a bag. I had a big fight trying to get it on in a carry on. Mexico does not allow it, though TSA does. Dominick
