Title: DAIWA SEALINE GEAR RATIOS
Post by: kevin cozens on September 28, 2023, 12:10:19 PM
I have a Daiwa Sealine RockCod 610.
It took ages or arm aching time to fill it up with 50lb line.
Compared to a plain Sealine 600 it seems very slow to fill with line.
Is this due to the Mega long handle or do the RockCod models have a lower
ratio gear set?

I think the rock cod models actually have a faster gear set. But that dull sword of a handle probably takes a lot of effort to swing around a bunch of times.

My 910 came loaded to thw brim with fresh 100# dacron (from a person i can trust when he said it was unused) so thankfully I don't have to go thru that.

According to the schematics, they have the exact same gear set.
