I received this in a lot from ebay that I purchased for parts( am new to fixing old reels) .
Most of the shakespere I have show a model number on the reel,
This one only has style B.
I tried a search but did not find any info, maybe I did the search wrong ?
Thanks Ed
A photo would sure take the mystery out of what the reel might be and help identify it. Might be a Jr. from 1910.

Others on our site will know more —- but that appears to be an early 20th century small guy in 60 yard —- which makes it more desirable.
It could be worth a lot of $$$ —- so be cautious going about cleaning it up.
A true collector would want to clean it up themselves —- or send it out to an experienced restorer —- unless you are deciding to keep it, or to do the restore yourself.
The guys over at ORCA would know all about this reel.
Nice find!
Best, Fred
It's a Nickle plated 60yd WM Shakespeare Jr Standard Style B made in 1912. It looks in pretty rough condition. Is part of the level wind missing? Also, are both bearing caps jeweled or are they different. That reel is going to take some experienced hands to bring it back to life and looking purty again.
The level wind looks ok and bearing caps are the same
I don't see the line guide on the level wind? ???
You are correct the line guide is missing
On that specific model, in that condition, the level wind mechanism is probably the most important and valuable aspect.
Thanks not reel collector just like to fish with them.
Purchased it as a lot ( yes them was some junk) but if I divide the price by the lot cost It cost me less then $4,00 I am ok at that price.
Thanks for your help.
I will be back with more questions on other items I have picked up.
