Found this interesting rod on Facebook. I cannot find anything about the rod on internet. Was this a production model or blank built by someone? Never new ugly stik made rod with this rating.
It looks to me like someone took an ugly stick and rewrapped it as a custom build for a fella named "captain Harry" in Miami.
I've done a bunch of similar rebuilds when I like a blank on a factory rod but don't like the included hardware.
In fact I've rewrapped a white tiger. But it was a later version, only bearing a "Shakespeare" label, no ugly.
The line class is 80-130
Captain Harry's is a legit tackle store in Miami started in 1970. You might want to contact them and ask them some specifics about the rod.
