Title: Penn 50 vw drag to grease or not
Post by: PRSD on January 15, 2024, 10:25:41 PM
Hi everyone
Been along time since I was last on here, been looking and trying to find out if I should grease up the drag on my inter 50. The more I look the more I get confused. It has the factory drag. Never been serviced since I have owned  it from new, mind you only ever seen water three times, ( life got in the way).
I bought some cal's grease to use so am I going the right way.
Thanks for any help it would be very much appreciated.
Also want to do two TLD15 and a TLD25
Thanks
Paul  :D

Yes grease it. Then use rag to remove excess.

For the tlds do not use grease if the washers are the stock canvas. If they are canvas consider replacing with up graded carbon fiber washers from smooth drag.

Thanks Hardy Boy,
Good to know about not doing the TLD drags, that could of gone bad fast.

After you grease the drags and remove the excess, it should like you never greased them.
