Title: Setup use advice
Post by: pjstevko on March 25, 2024, 12:49:17 AM
I've got a 3 day coming up and need advice on how to utilize 2 setups. I'd like to setup one as a bralla sinker rig and one as a daytime jig setup. My initial thoughts are.....

Mak 15t/UC GP 8' Predator for dropshot sinker rig

Fathom 40nld2/PCH 741XXH for daytime jigs

Am I on the right track or would it be better to swap their intended uses??????

Sounds about right for 50-60# setups. The 40NLD2 prob has a tad more line pickup & a bit lighter for jigging.

I'm wondering if 60# flouro is big enough for sinker rig on the Predator....

Decided to rig up my Mak 16SEa with 100# flouro for the dropshot sinker rig

My fathom 40nld2 with 80# flouro will be used for daytime jigs

The Mak 15t with 60# flouro will be used for bait and stealth daytime jigs

I'd flip them and use the Pred/40n for jigs and the Mak 15t/pch 741xxh for sinker rig... but both would work.
