Title: Brand new reel
Post by: spottybastard on March 18, 2012, 02:55:52 AM
I'm about to invest into two brand new Penn CONQUER 8000 size reels.  I was wondering, besides spooling them up with spectra; what else should I do to them before taking them out for a test drive/trip?

Bump.

I just got the two reels in the mail today.  $169 a piece off of eBay.

Grease drag washers. Repackage bearings with a mixture of Yamaha grease and corrosion x spray. NOt to thick and not to thin
