Title: 265 Cover Screws?
Post by: jgp12000 on May 21, 2024, 06:27:19 PM
The second 265 I acquired came with smaller head brass cover screws,
Unlike my 1st 265 has more of a pan head chrome screw.Just curious if
This might be an older reel or a previous owner's replacement?

I just installed the fast eddy ceramic bearing in this 265, it is really smooth ($4.99)! I Also installed one in a 220($5.99),not affiliated with FE at all, just impressed by their performance. Both reels were great before, but it made a notable difference. Also, they had a regular bearing for the Penn 712,best $1.25 ever Spent.

6x19x6 QT. Its a cheap easy upgrade,I ordered the 3 bearings to make it worthwhile for the shipping costs.
