Title: Lexa-HD 400HS-P help, please
Post by: mike1010 on June 14, 2024, 06:06:34 PM
While disassembling the levelwind on this reel, two small, plastic pieces that I had not seen fell onto the bench.  They seem to be keys 24 (RET) and 25 (WORM SHAFT WASHER) in the schematic See attached pictures.  I have not been able to figure out how to reinstall them.  Can anybody help?  Thanks.

Maybe I've got it figured out.  #25 is a bushing for the worm-gear end that goes into the non-handle side of the frame.  #24 is the e-clip to hold the worm-gear, not the little flat piece of plastic in the picture.  As far as I can tell, that is just a piece of waste from the bushing that found its way into the reel in the factory.  If you have another idea, I would be happy to hear it.  Thanks again.

Is it plastic or fibre/rubber?  There is usually a packer underneath the bearing in the LH sideplate outboard of and supporting the bearing.  >Felt washer/packer/bearing/spring wire clip<

Is it possible that the little disk is actually part #12? It certainly doesn't belong in that part of the reel.

It's plastic, but I don't think that it is from under the LH sideplate bearing, as I have not disturbed that.  Thanks for the suggestion, though.

If I understand, your suggestion is the same as ReelClean's.  Same answer, but thanks.
