Title: Saltist 40h silver clutch lever
Post by: Mwmullane on July 03, 2024, 05:19:45 PM
Hi all , long time lurker lots of great info I have acquired from this site . My saltist 40h silver has a broken clutch lever . Is there a hack / or mod or anything to fix it ? I have searched everything and everywhere and the only person that has one is in London and he doesn't ship to the US. Thank you for everything - Mike

They told me it was obsolete and they didn't have them anymore. So it might just be a piece of art .

My only thoughts: the only person that has one RIGHT NOW is in the UK; be patient.  I am not intimately familiar with that family of reels; but did you check to see if there was any cross-usage of the part in question?  Maybe used on a different model OR one used on a newer model would retrofit?  I know, not my area of knowledge but just throwing it out there...-john

Mine broke within 2 month from purchase and Daiwa replaced it with a Saltiga part which was a good choice and is still in use!

Okay so if anybody needs the info , I ordered DAIWA E63-3401 from tunas reel troubles and it fits , had to squeeze the retaining split C ring slightly to hold onto the lever but so far it seems to be okay . Taking it out tomorrow and giving it a real test. Thanks all.  :fish
