Title: Prime Day Penn Wrath
Post by: jgp12000 on July 16, 2024, 12:20:58 PM
I guess most of you know today & tomorrow are prime days. I just searched for Penn reels for the heck of it
and the old model Wrath 4000 is $34.74 today. I have almost bought one of these guys several times & the best I can remember they do not have an A/R lever? Is 4000 big enough for surf fishing?

Op
I would not get this reel
Wait for Labor Day or better Black Friday and you can get pflugger President or similar reels half off

Any reel can we used as a surf reel, just load it up with 30 lb braid main.
I like light stuff.

Yep I think good deals aren't always good deals...like throwing $35 out the window that I could spend on a vintage Penn :fish

I know there are huge techno-rythems and stuff I can't understand behind it; and the Bezo's bus makes regular stops at my homestead so there is a buying history.  But on the stuff that came up on my page I really didn't see any "deals"; and SWMBO mentioned the same thing (obviously her buying patterns are entirely different than mine). - john

I did order things I needed anyway, I don't know how they use cookies or algorithms , maybe AI now, it's a trap to get us to spend money, if you get on Amazon you will probably find somethin you want ,but not need  >:D
