I have a new abu garcia ambasadaur 54 and need a spool. Does any other abu spool fit this reel? are any avaliable?
I have a Cardinal 54 (excellent reel) for my personal usage.
Had 2 spools —- one broke in half just setting in my tackle box!
I have gone to jimmy82daiwa on eBay for ALUMINUM spools for 54's and Cardinal 4's. He is in Malaysia, but has very reasonable shipping along with 100% positive feedback on over 4300 transactions. His shipping is very quick —- just like ordering it here in the US.

Aluminum is the way to go on these.
I have around 3000 spinning reel spools —- but don't think anything else works on these 54's/154's.

Yes, ABU Cardinal 154 and a Zebco Cardinal 554 spools will also fit the Cardinal 54, they all interchange, but all are kind of tough to come by. An aluminum aftermarket might be your best bet. Les Shaw, from the UK, also has regular and aluminum Cardinal spools.
