Title: Penn 525 mag conversion

Can an older penn 525 magnum ( with mag slider, and no brakes) be converted over to a newer model? ( with dual mags and brakes?

without having the reels in hand, it looks like the answer is no.  all of the parts are different.  also, the newer version takes four larger side plate screws.  the old version uses three large screws and one small one that his hidden. 

my guess is that they are not compatible.
