Title: Watch Duty
Post by: Bill B on September 05, 2024, 08:30:27 PM
There is an app called Watch Duty I have been using to monitor wildfires in my area.  They have added a useful feature using cameras in various locations. If you look carefully in the photograph you will see blue dots with arrows pointing in the direction the camera faces.  Yeah Big Brother is watching but useful for me.

Also is a screen shot of the Copperfield Fire northeast of Klamath Lake in Southern Oregon.

Thank you for the info.  The wind has shifted and smoke from the Copperfield fire is now choking us.

Oregon is on fire.

Thanks for the post.  I just started using Watch Duty too.

Western Fire Chiefs is also pretty good.  They will show you the aerial support assigned to the fires as well without having to look at Flight Radar 24 or a similar app.
