Title: yellowtail from the shore in Korea
Post by: ksong on September 07, 2024, 05:28:47 AM
We fished yellowtail in Chuja Island in Korea.
I had a big hit on the big stickbait and the monster yellowtail took lines several times on heavy drag.
I know it took long and I patiently waited until the monster got tired. Finally the big yellowtail slowed down and I kept reeled in. But it took dive to the rock  !
I was using 11' Ron Arra Pro Special 1-5oz  rods and the rod showed tremendous power.
After losing the monster I switched to light 9'6" Back Bay Premier L rod and had immediate bite. The fish didn't take line long on heavy drag, but it turned out to be 1 m yellowtail.
Not bad at all. When sun came up, there was no more bites.
But my mission is accomplished.  🙂
