Title: Potential drag grease
Post by: cathauler65 on September 09, 2024, 09:24:50 PM
Been looking at Silverhook SGPG70 ceramic grease. Designed for brake systems, fully synthetic and rated to 1500 Celsius.

Any thoughts on use as drag grease?

Let us know how it works.

I only use Cal's tan for saltwater and purple for freshwater when using CF drag discs.

Been using these for over 15 years —- and they work perfectly.

Best, Fred

hydrocarbon and lithium based greases cause immediate stickiness.  not sure about this one, but you'll find out really quick!

I would be a little concerned about the ceramic particles being somewhat abrasive?
