Title: How to disable auto engage for Ocea Jigger?
Post by: SevenYearsDown on September 30, 2024, 08:57:19 PM
Any chance anyone knows or has a guide to disable to auto engage on an Ocea Jigger 4000 (the newer 2020 version). Auto engage is just not my cup of tea for conventionals.

It looks like you would need to modify part #3361 so that it doesn't get kicked by the AR ratchet when you turn the handle. The equivalent part off a Trinidad looks close but no guarantee it would fit, the adjacent parts are all different.

Yeah it seems to be that way. I ordered a clutch plate and ratchet from a trinidad and will see if that works. I also have a couple of saltiga z30s and a z40 that I want to disable the auto engage on that. Ordering parts for daiwa seems to be a pain.
