I finally got to finish another rod. This one is the little brother of the 2-tone rod that stabbed me in the finger earlier this year. Turns out this one has a bit of a splinter in almost the same spot. But whatever. I bend tested the heck out of it. It seems fine. 8' rod I'm gonna guess 60# line rating.
Fuji KW20 to start and size 8 KT runners.
Now I just gotta go cast it. The Gulf coast is probably off limits for me due to all the storm damage/recovery work so I guess I'll have to head east.
If I'm being honest, I've done better. But I had to shake the dust off somehow right?
gorgeous; love the blue!
Really beautiful work, Jason!
Best, Fred
Very nice marbling job! Jason your work just keeps getting better every time. I would like to take a lesson on marbling effects?

Maybe one day I'll make a tutorial video it's deceptively simple. Prep work and taping off these non-flat surfaces is more difficult.
looks goooood!
whats the targeted fish for this rod?
Yep it`s going to be a while before the bay fishing starts again .
Like the blue .. The only thing that gets me is the lines look to straight in the marble , other than that Good job .
Never been a fan of marbling, but hey, everybody has their own favorite look. It looks like a good job, though.
thanks for the pictures Jason, looks good, looking forward to the tutorial, cheers Don.
