Title: 5000 drag / bearings
Post by: thorhammer on October 07, 2024, 12:53:55 PM
Can anyone advise exact part number for carbontex drag for red 5000, and the exact bearing size? I read a bunch of things that said 3x10x4 but that doesn't work. I think I read a long time ago 3.2x10x4???? I don't want to keep ordering bearings as a "try" exercise; I have ten I want to upgrade so I want to buy in bulk, once. Yeah, I could mike the bushing, but I have to think someone on here knows exactly what works here. Rob or BeachBob, or someone. I ordered carbontex indicated for these, but they don't fit. I trust you guys more than bay, and e replacement parts makes you appreciate how valuable Mystic cross-reference and commentary is (of course we do, but I wanted to plug for Mo here :)

I changed bearing on Ambassadeur 5600 C4 ,it take 2 3x10x4 bearings .Old bearings fairly bad shape ,worn out .Crank real smooth after change but no improve on casting distance .This real very poor design and keep same design when Daiwa and Shimano have made their reels total free spool
I would take the bearings out to check for correct size if not sure before order a bunch of them
