Title: looking for a 4/0 2294 torpedo handle for a project
Post by: Hankzudd on November 02, 2024, 05:07:37 PM
gonna try & mount handle & shaft to another arm; taking off, grinding rivet (?) from back of arm,
then thread for a screw & thin SS washer; how much trouble am i looking at?

the host reel is a Squall II 30LWLH which has a handle that fits a type V bridge, so that part
has to remain. Went thru Mystic extensively & couldn't find another handle same diameter with Type V
bridge. This is for my wife who has small hands but likes the 4/0 torpedo handle (which is the reel
she's using offshore now) and would benefit from the level wind & lighter weight.

thanks in advance, you guys are the best.

FWIW, red snapper season stays open year-round in state waters here, so we sneak down every chance
we get as it's not uncommon to land cows close in (on the right day).
Bull redfish are everywhere right now.

ETA; found a Fathom SD handle for cheap on closeout that fits a type V bridge.

What state are you in?
