Title: Off Topic -- Portable Air Compressor / Tire Inflator
Post by: jtwill98 on November 06, 2024, 02:54:03 AM
I wasn't sure where to post this item (GOOLOO GT150 Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2XWHY9V?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title)), but I thought some of you might be interested.

I wasn't sure of this purchase until I received it.

On one of my road trips, I had a trailer tire blowout and the spare that I was about to put on was low on pressure.  My ATV compressor took an extremely long time to air up the spare, somewhere between 15-20 minutes.

This compressor was purchased to replace that Coleman compressor.  I decided on this item after watching a review online.

I can say that I'm impressed by with the inflator after my limited tests this evening.

I aired up the tires on my 3 cars and 1 truck. That's 16 tires checked or topped off to a preset pressure that I entered. On a single charge, the compressor still shown 50% battery capacity when I was done.  In total, it took less than 30 minutes to check and top of the air in all the tires. Albeit, the truck tires didn't need air but the other 12 tires did.

Two of my wife's Honda CRV tires were very low (18 & 22 PSI). She rarely drives that car so it had been used recently as she uses the Camry for local errands.

What was impressive with the device is you set the tire pressure preset setting, attached the hose, hit the start button and watched as the tire pressure rise to the preset value and the inflator automatically shuts off when it reaches the preset -- disconnect the hose and move to the next tire.

It's a bit expensive at $44, but it is portable and convenient for travel. Having this and a portable battery jump starter sure is nice when making long trips across the country or into the back country.

It depends on how much Amazon likes you and how much you like Amazon.  It shows $49.99 for me.

My purchase price was $43.29.  $19.99 - 20% discount coupon + $3.30 tax.

I'm not sure why the link you're viewing shows $87.99.

I know Amazon has regional pricing and sometimes when I'm connected with a VPN the price is different when my IP is from a server in Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, etc as opposed to my local IP from Austin.

I assume this is the case for you.  Mine shows $49.99 (see picture).
