Title: Penn Ally II v Carnage III Question
Post by: Keta on December 02, 2024, 03:57:23 AM
I borrowed a Carnage III CARWCIII60100C7 and caught a 212# BFT on it and was impressed with the rod.  I have a Seeker 1x3 I usually fish 80# but I want a longer 60# rod than the 6"6" Seeker  I have now.  The 30-80 Carnage III (CARWCII3080C66) only comes in 6'6" but I see there is a Ally II 40-80 8' rod (ALLYWCII4080C80).

How does the Ally compare to the Carnage?  Are their plans to come out with a 7'7" or 8' 60# Carnage in the near future?

I saw that rod but I would rather have the upper grip not notched and 7'6-8'.

I wish there was someplace close to KF so I could put my hands on rods.

For an 8', 60# rod I really like the UC RGP Terminator!

I am currently trying to fund a $1700 root canal and have been laid off since September.I would really like another UC rod but as of now it is not doable.  The Carnage III 80#  rod I got my last cow BFT on was really nice and far less $.
