Title: Hardy Altex No 3 Mark V Spinning Reel; any good?
Post by: pointbob on December 21, 2024, 12:45:57 AM
Hey all

I know it's old but curious if this Hardy spinning reel was /is any good? I found one at an estate sale for $140 and it's on hold. It functions ok...just wondering if I'm getting into a rabbit hole lol.

I'd say that the fact you are considering it means you already fell down that rabbit hole.  It looks like a really cool old reel though.

They are/were a quality old reel and are quite collectable. The price seems to be about average considering it's condition if everything works as it should.
